Banking 2023
Watching so many banks go under last spring filled me with anxiety. This egg yolk tottering on th edge is those feelings made visual.
Ossipoff’s Cabin
Vladimir Ossipoff was one of the first Mid Century modern architects to move to Oahu Hawaii. He built this cabin by hand. It hangs on the side of a mountain. The painting shows the living room circa 1960. It was recreated from original photos.
I started this work at the October 2023 artist at work event. I invited guests to collage cut outs of birds. I then created the finished painting using my own photos from a recent visit to the cabin.
This painting is quite large measuring 72” X 77”
