    Residual of the Cipher

In ‘Residual of the Cipher’, the organic, rusted topography of the canvas is interrupted by a fragmented blue geometry. If a ‘cipher’ is the secret code of our identity, then this piece captures its lingering afterimage-the digital ghost of a thought that remains after the initial moment of clarity has passed.
The cross-hatched blue marks act as a cognitive map, a structured
‘residual’ embedded within the deep, sedimentary layers of the subconscious. It explores the tension between the fluid erosion of time and the persistent, geometric signals of our own internal logic. Even as the landscape of memory weathers and fades, the cipher remains—a flickering, blue-toned evidence of a hidden truth.

    Disness

    $500

    16 x 16 inches

Acrylic with mixed media on wood panel

The technique and the subject share the viewers interest equally in this composition. The image was built up with several layers of paint and collage. There are visible thick brushstrokes, finely executed lines and splashed paint along with  layered materials include torn paper. It is anchored by a swath of pale grey-blue paint that moves down the center. This cool tone is contrasted sharply by burnt orange, ochre, black, bright red and yellow.

    Memory of a Past Winter

    Memory of a Past Winter

    $500

    16 x 16 inches

Acrylic with mixed media on wood panel

The overall mood of this piece is quiet and contemplative, yet the heavy texture and vertical drips give it a slightly raw, elemental quality. You can almost feel the cold winter day depicted in the scene.

The painting is divided into distinct zones of color that suggest a fragmented, semi-abstracted view of a landscape. There is the dominant blue and white which is contrasted with a dark horizontal band resembling a shadow. This splits the composition, adding depth.  An earthy toned rectangular shape provides a grounded focal point against the cooler surrounding colors. Several thin, vertical lines of pale blue paint drip from the top of the canvas, suggesting rain, melting ice, or trees. The surface has been built up and scraped back several times revealing previous layers.
