The Unnoticed Morning Stars
Title comes from a symphony by Danish composer Rued Fanggaard. Honoring those who may be unnoticed among us who nonetheless shine their light, hope and compassion wherever they go and whatever they do.

Lion Flowers
I do a lot of commissioned paintings. In December 2024 I took a break from them and made this joyful floral painting. The series of works is called Un-Still Life. To me the title describes the movement in the work. It’s as if the flowers have just been picked and are settling into the vase of water.
The impasto layers are pretty amazing in this work, but you have to see it in person to get the full impression.

This Is What I Saw
This was inspired by late afternoon sun on a late November day. It had been raining for several days and the sun broke out and turned the sky and city blue and gold.
