Tunnel View in Alpenglow
The golden hour of sunset is especially beautiful in the winter when the glow in the sky and one the towering granite is magical. This watercolor was my attempt to capture that feeling from Tunnel View in Yosemite National Park.

Ya Don’t Say
This little 12″x12″ acrylic and oil painting is part of my ‘Alebrije Inspired’ series. Alebrijes (ah-lay-bree-heys) are vibrantly colored, intricately painted sculptures of animals, people, objects, or fantastical creatures. They are made from word or paper mache. This Mexican folk art originated in Mexico, City, but Oaxaca City, in the state of Oaxaca, is now considered the epicenter for alebrijes. In this painting, the serpent that is being talked to is reminiscent of Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent from the puppet show Beanie and Cecil in the 1950s.
