Aperture of Anamnesis
In “Aperture of Anamnesis”, the canvas becomes a site of psychological recovery. The title refers to the ‘re-remembering’ of innate knowledge-truths we once held but buried beneath the ‘rust’ and sediment of daily life. The distressed, dark edges of the piece act as a visual shutter, or aperture, narrowing our focus toward the glowing center. This luminous core represents the sudden, brilliant return of a forgotten self. It is a map of the moment when the ‘Veil of Time’ parts, allowing us to stand at the threshold of a truth we’ve always known, but only just rediscovered.

“Synaptic Horizon”, the canvas becomes a site of mental excavation.
The rich, sedimented layers of rust and umber represent the accumulated weight of experience and memory-our personal ‘topography.’ The luminous horizontal line acts as a synaptic spark, a sudden bridge between the grounded subconscious and a new plane of awareness. This piece explores that precise moment when a thought clarifies, effectively mapping the architecture of human insight.

On a red acrylic field, I have painted various shapes which are patterned. All are in bright colors. This painting follows the theme of ‘Remembering Chicano Park’ , a park in San Diego, CA part of which is under an overpass. The pillars are painted in bright Chicano-themed designs.
