Finding North
For this piece, I decided to repurpose an old “experiment”, keeping the half of it I loved and fully revamping the rest. As the work evolved, it became layers of mountain ranges with an underlying cartography and topography feel. So I decided to fully lean in, integrating a compass rose pointing to Polaris, the North Star.
Photos don’t do this justice. She’s a spectacular piece with many little nuances and beautiful moments.

Oil on canvas. 40″ x 36″. Winter, with its promise of Spring, may seem desolate in the present, but I still eagerly anticipate a future of renewal.
Falling Awawy
Oil on canvas, 40″ x 36″. This painting explores the idea of simultaneous levels of perception, uncovering the hidden realms of chaotic swirling beneath our everyday visual experiences. The forces opposing rigid structures and false certainties can find balance even amidst the chaos.
