Lion Flowers
I do a lot of commissioned paintings. In December 2024 I took a break from them and made this joyful floral painting. The series of works is called Un-Still Life. To me the title describes the movement in the work. It’s as if the flowers have just been picked and are settling into the vase of water.
The impasto layers are pretty amazing in this work, but you have to see it in person to get the full impression.
60″ x 36″ on custom made stretched canvas. The image spills over the edge on the gallery wrapped frame and is ready to hang on the wall.
