THE ORANGUTAN PROJECT
This piece, inspired by The Orangutan Project in Sumatra, celebrates the deep emotional bond and quiet intelligence of these endangered primates. Through warm tones of orange and gold, I sought to capture both the vibrancy of their rainforest home and the fragile beauty of their existence. The layered patterns symbolize the interconnection between nature, humanity, and the spiritual energy that unites all living beings. My intention is to bring awareness to their vulnerability while honoring their gentle spirit and resilience.
UTAH
Inspired by the iconic landscapes of Utah, this painting transforms its monumental rock formations into a vivid, dreamlike scene. Warm desert earth tones rise into sculpted mesas and buttes, instantly recalling the dramatic vistas of Monument Valley. Against a glowing turquoise sky, a large radiant sun—or celestial sphere—adds a surreal, otherworldly energy. Sweeping strokes of green and gold drift across the atmosphere, blending reality with imagination. The rich reds, oranges, and browns of the foreground capture the heat and rugged beauty of Utah’s desert terrain, creating a piece that feels both grounded in nature and elevated into a visionary realm.
