About The Artist
Carolyn LeCoque is a self-taught artist specializing in mixed media and assemblage sculpture. She incorporates a wide range of materials—clay, fiber, bones, and found objects—reflecting her passion for transforming everyday items into art. Prior to her artistic career, Carolyn worked as an interfaith hospice chaplain and later as a medical ethicist after earning a doctorate in Bioethics. Following a serious illness that led her to leave the healthcare field, she found renewed purpose and meaning through creating art. Drawing upon her personal and professional experiences, Carolyn channels themes of transformation, resilience, and whimsy into her distinctive body of work.
My artwork has found homes in private collections domestically and internationally.
