This charcoal drawing is 22 x 16 inches with a mat and frame (making it 27 x 21 inches). This piece won Best in Show at the 2019 Gold Rush Show in Mariposa at the Sierra Artists Gallery.
“In the Waves” is an acrylic painting on a 18×21 inch stretched canvas with a frame. I enjoyed the layers of glazing to capture all of the different colors in the ocean that day, as I walked along the beach with my mother. This beautiful woman walked out with her dog and I asked permission to photograph her for a reference photo…so glad she agreed. I originally titled this piece Let’s Play Fetch.
This painting received a first place ribbon at the Yosemite Sierra Artists annual show and competition in 2019.
This watercolor and ink painting was inspired by a small Japanese Maple tree I have in a pot on my balcony. It reminds me of all the beautiful trees in Japan. I especially love seeing them during Koyo season (autumn’s vibrant red and orange leaf season). It’s 10 x 8 inches on paper, framed.
Soft pastels captured the bright colors and soft growth on the hill above the shore near Bixby Bridge, CA.
