Red
Jack Hunt’s new and used classic cars in San Rafael. This piece represents numerous visits to the site during day and night and in the rain. I did a small oil study first which only vaguely resembles this larger piece. As with most of my paintings much has been altered from the original scenes. I am particularly drawn to strong geometries night rain shadows and deeper warmer colors. My wife an art history major calls my paintings expressionistic realism.
