A Morning To Remember
The sun has risen over Horseshoe Cove in the Marin Headlands north of the Golden Gate. This morning, young children in the red-roofed Bay Area Discovery Museum delight in hands-on-science, art, and cultural projects. In centuries past, Coast Miwok tribes fished, danced and wove baskets here. During the early 1900’s the U.S. military built Fort Baker, a Colonial-Revival style post used successively for harbor patrol, air defense and reserve training. The Coast Guard continues to patrols the waters. The original measures: 60″ X 18″ Oil on Canvas.
