NOCHE COMO BOCA DE LOBO (NIGHT LIKE THE MOUTH OF A WOLF)
This 22″x28″ oil painting was inspired by a song by Sonora Poncena (Poncenya) of Puerto Rico, one of my all-time favorite Latin music bands. The setting is a dark night of freezing rain. I know it’s a sad song, but my Spanish isn’t up to understanding why. If you didn’t understand any of the lyrics, you would think it a happy rockin’ song, great to dance to.
HOT SUMMER NIGHT
This 22″x28″ oil painting on canvas is more whimsical than abstract because there are some recognizable objects interspersed with the abstract. Notice that all the shapes are touching each other. I think of this painting as joyful and color-popping.
THIS THAT AND THE OTHER
‘This That and the Other’ is a 22″x28″ oil painting on canvas. Whimsical is a more apt descriptor than abstract because there are objects that are not abstract. Notice that all the objects are touching, connected.

This is a 22″x28″ oil painting on canvas. Bright colors and movement are two of the qualities of this artwork. Completed in 2023, this is the first of my current series.
