In my transition from painting to altering books, I came across Picasso and Portraiture, which includes all of the women in Picasso’s life who were subjects of many of his works. My damaged copy became this three-dimensional book art sculpture and inspired my Picasso Series. I wonder, did Picasso really see the women he loved, married, had children with, as so ugly and distorted?
