Zeny began his Fine Art photography career  photographing France and Spain in 1967.  His professional time was divided between commercial and Fine Art photography until 1984, at which time Fine Art Photography became his sole profession. Unlike most exhibiting photographers, Zeny has personally printed his color prints in a traditional wet darkroom to insure the proper interpretation of his original negative.

Zeny uses a Hasselblad 500C and a Nikon FM2 for the majority of his darkroom-printed exhibited photographs. In most cases Kodak professional negative film is used and the resulting images are printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper using a Kreonite roller transport processor and Kodak RA4 chemistry. These original photographs are not digitally enhanced or manipulated in any way.

Beginning in the year 2020, Zeny began working on his Impressionistic Visions Fine Art Collection using digital cameras.

“I do not specifically start out a day searching for a particular subject to photograph in a preconceived way. I believe that it is essential to allow the day to wash around me and to be surprised with the images that present themselves. It is very easy to pass by a great image while looking for something specific”.

Among the private and corporate collectors and more than 40,000 individuals throughout the world who collect color and black & white fine art photographs by Zeny are:

President/Mrs. Ronald Reagan, President & Mrs. Mikhail Gorbachev, Mr. Leonard Firestone, Mr. & Mrs. Bob Hope, Mr. & Mrs. Charlton Heston, Mr. Winthrop Rockefeller, Jr., Mrs. Jonas Salk, Mrs. Lopez-Portillo, Mr. & Mrs. Hal Wallis, William K Zewadski and Supreme Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Zeny’s Fine Art photographs are found in the collections of Eisenhower Medical Center, Stanford University Hospital, Xerox Corp, Hughes Aircraft, Coldwell Banker, Kaiser Hospitals, Bellagio Hotel, Pfizer Corp, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, the Leonard and Marjorie Vernon Collection, the DiRosa Collection, Greg Popovich-NBA, Biogen Corp, Joe Torre-MLB, Biogen, Dr Stephen and Mrs Helen Bing, Arnold Beckman, Patty Smyth and Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison LLP.

Zeny has exhibited in numerous public and corporate galleries throughout the United States including: Hewlett-Packard, Kimball Art Center, Palm Springs Museum, Guanajuato Cultural Center, Hunt-Wesson Gallery, Crocker-McKesson/San Francisco, University of Texas-Austin, College of the Desert, Bank of America World Headquarters, Sydney Art Museum and the Field Museum-Chicago.

Zeny was honored when Stanford University presented a portfolio of his original photographs of Stanford University to President & Mrs. Mikhail Gorbachev as the official gift from Stanford University to the President of the Soviet Union.
