I took my first art class twenty years ago at College of Marin. Over the years I have studied under several instructors both in Marin County and in San Francisco. While I have tried other mediums my focus has been painting in oil. Oil gives richness and depth to color and color is what I love. From the very start I have been attracted to abstract painting. Perhaps this is because having had a career as an architect I design in the abstract. I also believe an artist should be diverse. I paint portraits when I see a face that tells of a life lived or a landscape that embraces natural beauty.
