About The Artist
GOLD DIGGER! A show you won’t forget.
Hello there! I invite you to come visit my downtown San Rafael gallery/studio on open studio weekend.
I will be showing a gallery style presentation of sculptural objects from a body of work I am developing called “Gold Digger!” In addition to the objects there will be a 65″ screen showing the pieces that informed what I am showing. This will provide you with context, enabling you to better appreciate the objects on display.
I aspire to make MOMA quality work inspired by living in Marin and for the people of Marin.
My studio is a garage converted into a gallery facing the street. Very easy access, pull up half on the sidewalk and hop out.
I will be open the first Saturday / Sunday from noon to 4 and the second Saturday, noon to 4, closed Mother’s Day.
I’m looking forward to meeting you.
Kosturos’ artwork aspires to provide a fresh perspective that inspires deeper contemplation, ultimately leading to a richer experience of life.
Their use of satire and juxtaposition provides the viewer new access points to controversial topics that are often obstructed by intense emotion and extreme opinions.
Current topics of interest include exploring what we consider valuable, valueless, and the mythology of the white picket fence.
Born in 1971 in the Bay Area, Kosturos is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute where she focused on interdisciplinary conceptual fine art. He moved from the city to Marin in 2011 and can be found working on art at the skateboard park while his 9-year-old son skates.
I made a lot of art for exhibition in the 90’s until I burned out. Older and wiser, I’m thrilled to be creating again! – 2021

Who do you know with a white picket fence who may enjoy collaborating with me? I have a number of ideas for ways to turn it into a compelling piece of art that the community will enjoy. Ideally on time of open studios in April! Please contact me.
