About The Artist
Artist Statement
Kosturos’ artwork aspires to provide a fresh perspective that inspires deeper contemplation, ultimately leading to a richer experience of life.
Their use of satire and juxtaposition provides the viewer new access points to controversial topics that are often obstructed by intense emotion and extreme opinions.
Current topics of interest include challenging blind assumptions created by the idea that gender is binary and the inherent meaning Americans project onto the white picket fence.
Born in 1971 in the Bay Area, Kosturos is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute where she focused on interdisciplinary conceptual fine art. He moved from the city to Marin in 2011 and can be found working on art at the skateboard park while his 10-year-old son skates.
I made a lot of art for exhibition in the 90’s until I burned out. Older and wiser, I’m thrilled to be creating again! – 2021

Who do you know with a white picket fence who may enjoy collaborating with me? I have a number of ideas for ways to turn it into a compelling piece of art that the community will enjoy. Ideally on time of open studios in April! Please contact me.
