About The Artist
Leaza Urban is a local Marin County artist who paints primarily in oil and draws using various media. She has always been an artist and has been inspired by the other artists in her family. Leaza is most drawn to painting subjects that mean something to her on a personal level and loves to find ways to capture light, finding satisfaction in blending colors to distinguish reflections & shadows. Her work has been shown several times at The College of Marin Fine Art Gallery, as well as The Marin County Exhibit Hall. Leaza’s current focus is to create paintings that have a focus on the brilliance of a light source, while containing a narrative element or message to be investigated. She’s looking forward to several exhibitions in 2026, including Marin Open Studios in the spring and a group show with New Moon Artists at the Falkirk Cultural Center at the end of the year.
