About The Artist
I am excited to be part of Marin Open Studios this year. You can see my work exhibited at the Marin Art and Garden Center May 3-4, 10-11 from 11-6pm each day.
I retired in 2019 after 40+ years in corporate America–with most of it spent in tech. I am a California native, born on the Northern California Peninsula. I have lived in the Bay Area, except for a year in Southern California, my entire life. I have always appreciated the early California landscape artists–particularly those who focused on the unique golden light and imagery of the local area. Rolling golden hills, muted pastels in groves of Eucalyptus trees, and deep greens of scrub oak have always attracted me.
I am fairly new to being a painter. Originally a declared art major at UC Davis, I switched to Physical Anthropology to get out in 4 years and never looked back until now. Little did I know I was there in the era of Wayne Thiebaud, Manuel Neri and Robert Arneson!
