About The Artist
I am an oil painter, landscapes, still life, life paintings and most recently, abstract oils on canvas only. I am inspired by the life around me, colors, shapes, shadows and light. Mostly I just paint for hours on end, completely absorbed, unaware of the passing of time.
After loving to draw, I thought that would be the end of it, but 13 years ago, while living part-time in Mexico, I took a painting class from a wonderful Canadian painter named Donna Dixon. I have also studied with several other teachers in the U.S.
Lately, I’m painting on larger canvases and in a more abstract style. Still, I love to paint loose but accurate, painting plein air and still life. It’s always a challenge and I’m always learning.
