About The Artist
This year, I will be showing my paintings, Sat May 4 and Sun May 5 at MarinMOCA, Classroom, 781 Hamilton Parkway, Novato, CA 94949. Hope to see you there during Marin Open Studios.
As in life, layers on layers, shapes covered by shapes create the story of things forgotten, discovered, and imagined. All is left to the viewer’s curiosity, to one’s personal interpretation. As a visual artist, I am drawn to how our visual perceptions connect us to a place in time that we all intuitively feel, see, and remember — connecting us to our emotions and to each other.
Nature, people, the world around me, shared experiences are a source of my creative inspiration. These are all integrated into the making of my art. Spaces intrigue me, how we occupy, relate to them, and exist within spaces; how our space defines us, and we define it. My compositions explore an ongoing interest in spatial relationships. It is an abstracted space, filled with mark-making and color–a mixture of colors to create visual environments and moods.
