About The Artist
Art is my “never never land”. A place to go to be with the sound of my brush on the canvas, the smell of the paint and a happy thought. Ahhhhh
I have been drawing and painting for many years and have been privileged to paint and study with the most wonderful master artists: E. John Robinson (my mentor and friend), Mary Carol, William Blackman, Buck Paulson, Rah, Ruth Patroka, and others. I use oil and acrylic on canvas, and sometimes dabble in mixed medias.
The ocean is alive and never stops moving to produce inspiring images, moods and colors. Landscapes take us home or to dreamlike locations, perhaps a memory or a place we would rather be. A welcome break in time and routine. They are among my favorite subjects. I have been known to paint whatever catches my eye or falls in favor at that moment in time. I may see something and it’s mood and image won’t leave me alone until I give it life on canvas. I hope my work allows you to take a moment to go deeper into a place, a time, or purpose. That’s what art can do if it’s right for you and your living spaces to enjoy again and again.
