I have taken up painting as a serious endeavor since retiring from my full-time work about fifteen years ago. My favorite painting medium is oil. I love the feel, texture, versatility and expressiveness of oil paint. The beautiful and the extraordinary fascinate meƒ, as well as the shadowy side of things. I usually begin my landscape paintings plein air, and my figurative work from live models. Finishing touches are painted in the studio.
