About The Artist

Artist Statement

My interest includes contemporary portraiture informed by art historical tradition and an ongoing exploration of culture and its shared role with the natural habitat.

 

Biography

Art Education- Mills College Graduate Department, Oakland, California; The San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco; The California College of Arts, Oakland, California; and The Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C. I have an MA Linguistics from San Jose State.

Named by the Bay Guardian for excellence in the Best of Best category/ fine art photography and have shown with The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artist’s Group for work in mixed media. My interests include contemporary portraiture and landscape with an emphasis on the environment and shared natural habitats. I worked for the Academy of Art University, San Francisco as an instructor through 2017 and now live and work in Marin County, California.
