Oil and Cold Wax on Paper
I painted this small painting at the end of summer as my garden began to wilt under the heat of the summer sun. It has a lot of texture due to the addition of cold wax to oil paint which creates a dimensional surface. While non-representational, the colors and shapes suggest a garden setting. Blues, greens and yellows dominate while touches of pink and darker tones create a vivid color palette.
