This 22″x28″ acrylic and oil painting on canvas is part of my Alebrije-Inspired series. Alebrijes are a form of Mexican folk art: they are carved wooden figures that are painted in brilliant colors and patterns. My forms and shapes are not typical alebrije subjects; they are abstract. The colors are bright, the forms are patterned.
