“Blue Umbrella”, Marin County From my Impressionistic Visions collection
“Blue Umbrella” is one of my most recent Impressionistic Visions images. Just as many of my images are produced, I was set to photograph this small grocery store with its amazing collection of neon signs when a figure carrying a blue umbrella walked by. I happened to be ready and in the second it took for the figure to pass out of the frame, I was able to get this shot.
Woody Allen said the “80% of success is showing up”. In this case, for one of my favorite new images, 80% of success is showing up and pure luck and 20% taking advantage of one’s luck.
