About The Artist

Artist Statement

I am grateful for the privilege to express what I love through paint: the beauty of the landscape with all its lifeforms from sea to land to air. Being outdoors in nature, absorbing through the senses, is absolutely life-affirming. I paint in plein air as well as in the studio from my own reference photographs.

 

Biography

Among my degrees is a bachelor’s in Art History which I find constantly informs my work.  I have done much independent study in illustration and painting in the mediums of gouache, pastel, acrylic and oil.

Within the last 12 years I have enjoyed taking numerous painting workshops with the various stellar artist instructors in Marin and Sonoma and throughout California.

I have participated in solo and group shows in Marin and San Francisco for the last three decades and am a member of the California Art Club.
