About The Artist
Being a child, I experienced a hard-to-describe feeling, a sort of ecstasy while visiting a Paul Klee exhibition at the Tate Gallery in London.
It happened several times during my childhood and teenage years, the last one in a Basquiat Exhibition at the LVMH Foundation in Paris. That is when I learned that those feelings, that I was not listening to, had a name: the Stendhal syndrome.
Despite all these episodes and although I was coming from a family of artists, I had not realized that I was also an artist myself, with the capacity to create beauty.
A long and boring cold winter in Berlin pushed me to start painting, letting behind all my professional background in luxury brands and entrepreneurship (interior design). And since then, I have not stopped painting.
My figurative and abstract paintings reflect my style which does not follow any art trend but is rather based on my personality and experiences. My country Spain, Barcelona, and the Mediterranean are quite present in my work. My painting process is very intuitive getting better results when I can avoid the details.
I just moved from my hometown Barcelona to Sausalito where I am having the chance to work full time creating beauty, which is what I love the most! I have a studio at the ICB Building, surrounded by amazing talent and a very friendly community.
I hope you enjoy my artwork as much as I enjoy creating it.
Hasta pronto!
Natalia
