About The Artist
What I thought would be an hour or two spent on my first painting assignment turned into a meditation that lasted five hours – a ‘moment’ of being focused and in a quiet space that I’d not experienced before. I was hooked!
Most recently my subjects include abstracted figures and landscapes. Some demand bold and vivid color; others call for a subdued and monochromatic approach. I let the subject and canvas lead the way.
After eleven years in the corporate world, I took the leap and began my art journey. I studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, UC Berkeley and College of Marin. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed painting with with several Bay Area artists including Carolyn Meyer and the late Randall Sexton.
