About The Artist

Artist Statement

Art has the power to uplift, heal and connect people in profound ways.

Biography

Welcome to my world of art!   Originally a nurse practitioner, my journey took an unexpected turn toward the creative after participating in transformative medical missions. These life changing experiences inspired me to see the world through a new lens- both literally and artistically.  Though the last time I held a paintbrush was over 30 years ago, the desire to create never left me. I first explored this passion by painting a mural on my children’s walls, quietly while they slept–a secret, playful introduction to the world of painting that I have now fully embraced.

In 2017, I  studied  old master painting  at the J. Pollock Art Studio which grounded me in classical technique. Since then I have expanded my practice, exploring diverse mediums and styles from contemporary design to expressive, abstract works. My art reflects a lifelong curiosity, a love of color and varying techniques ,and a unique perspective shaped by my life and experience.

Today I live bicoastal, dividing my time between the craggy foggy coastline of Maine and the dynamic energy of California. My work is inspired by the natural beauty and explores themes of environmental awareness, human perception and shared human experience.

A portion of my proceeds is donated to Women’s health education , Prevention and Research.
