About The Artist

Artist Statement

My greatest inspiration is the beauty and forms of nature. I’m intrigued with creating visual bridges between plants and humans, past and present, life and death. I work with recognizable images because I want to communicate clearly to the viewer. From gouache on paper paintings to mixed media in an accordion book or ink drawings in a graphic book, choosing the best medium for the message fuels the versatility of my work. A small studio with little storage has inspired my exploration of the book form – intimate, sequential worlds that van be contained between two covers.
