About The Artist
I am a contemporary abstract painter working mostly in acrylics. My paintings are colorful, bright and bold. What inspires me are the relationships between colors and the feelings they can invoke.
Because I have a strong inner directive to always be evolving, my work reflects this in the different series I explore. My recent works are abstract invented landscapes having a central path, road or street leading the viewer to a new destination. Aren’t we all on a path to get somewhere? I use bright color in grid-like patterns to evoke a strong and joyful response. My works tend to meld my roots – the plains of Nebraska -with the streets of San Francisco, as I’ve lived in the Bay Area since 1985.
