About The Artist
I am an artist and art instructor here in Marin county. I teach art to middle school students a Davidson Middle School in San Rafael. I believe that everyone is capable of making art and am passionate about helping them to achieve this goal.
Like Gerhard Richter I believe in an artist’s ability to work in many different media and styles. I am a portrait painter and plein aire painter. I am obsessed with light and it’s emotive qualities. At the same time I am a graphic artist who creates abstract drawings and collages. I also am an illustrator who loves to draw cartoons. I am a multiplicity of artistic motivations. I suppose this is one reason that I am able to connect to my art students. I am not commited to any one aesthetic.
