About The Artist
My primary focus is the land and seascapes of Northern California and Oregon. They are mixed media paintings on canvas and paper with an emphasis of acrylic and overlays of pastel or water soluble oil. I am interested in the lakes, rivers, ocean and rolling hills of this magnificent place called home. Included in the surfaces of some of the artworks are writings which express my personal feelings at the time. Some collectors have indicated that they like my soothing, soulful and contemplative renderings of Northern California. I am also interested in flower bouquets and still life arrangements.
I received a BA degree from Dominican University in San Rafael. I have been a resident and artist in Marin County for over forty years. My studio-gallery is located at the Novato Arts Center at Hamilton, Museum of Contemporary Art in Novato, California.
