I started painting with oil paints about ten years. At first my was work primarily landscapes done En Plein Air. It was invigorating and many times a pleasant social event. Marin County and the surrounding counties has many beautiful areas in which to paint. I find it easier to really focus outdoors on my work for hours uninterrupted, particularly after the effort to get to your site and set up. Since then I enjoy experimenting with creating more emotive subtle effects from the landscape photos I have taken or the opposite using much color.

I love color. After a career as a commercial interior designer I still want to be involved with color and color choices and combinations .I find color mixing fascinating. I do feel I will struggle my entire life with color values. Yet I enjoy the challenge.
