About The Artist
I am a plein air painter. I have paint speckled car seats, paint under my nails and a house of disarray. I have a clothes drawer dedicated to my paint clothes but somehow my other clothes sneak their way in. I juggle a family, teaching and my passion for art. All my worries are forgotten and time evaporates, the moment my brush hits the canvas.
I began my journey as a painter falling in love with the old rusty tractors. It was their great curves and personalities that hooked me. Over the years my interests have expanded to include landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, farms and animals. I am a plein air painter and spend most of my days out in the elements which makes every painting an adventure. When I am not painting, I teach at my rural Petaluma Art studio and compete nationally in plein air competitions.
