About The Artist
Using a classical painterly approach, I hope to connect the viewer emotionally to our beautiful environment.
I am an oil painter who loves to combine classical realism with impressionism.
I received a BFA from Wittenberg University in Ohio and continued my studies in architecture and graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design (2 1/2 years), followed by the Colorado Institute of Art (1 year). I’ve worked at both architectural firms and graphic design companies. In 2002 I began my journey into oil painting, a life-long desire. I’ve especially enjoyed studying with Frank Arcuri, David Leffel, Sherrie McGraw, HongNian Zhang, Kenn Backhaus, and Peter Fiore. In 2011 I relocated to the California Bay Area from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I’m excited to finally get a studio at Marin MOCA. Would love to see you there.
