About The Artist
It is thrilling to turn a passion for art into a daily priority while simultaneously evolving through it. Growing up in England, I studied at the prestigious City and Guilds of London Art School. There, I completed a Fine Art Foundation course before receiving a BA in Fashion Promotion and Illustration at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. My preferred media are pencil and charcoal on paper or acrylics on canvas, and my favorite subjects are portraiture and figure drawing. I’m influenced by old masters such as Caravaggio, David, and Rembrandt. However, what inspired me to break into becoming an artist full time, was the creation of my first solo exhibit “#45 Series.” A politically charged collection of 7 pieces – mostly acrylics on canvas, but some are mixed media and more experimental. I am currently working on portraits and figure drawing while experimenting with media, color, and technique as research for future projects.
