This work explores the “spaces in between”—the invisible membranes where the physical and spiritual planes intersect. “The Singularity of Will” serves as a visual map of, what I call, the “innerverse” at the precise threshold of transition. It documents the high-stakes geography of the verge, capturing the heavy, holy pause that occurs just before an individual chooses to dismantle the structures of the past to inhabit a more luminous future.
This composition is constructed through deliberate layers of “psychic debris,”representing the fragments of our identity that we must shed during the unsettling process of becoming. While the periphery of the piece holds the weight and shadow of what was, the center reveals a radiant, structured glow. This focal point represents the “Event Boundary”—the cognitive reset triggered when we stand on the precipice of a psychological doorway and allow our internal landscape to update.
The Singularity of Will is an invitation to dwell within the “holy pause” of liminality—the profound awe found at the threshold of change. It is not a depiction of the journey’s end, but a visual documentation of the deep breath taken before action, and it honors the immense courage required to allow one’s internal landscape to update. This piece captures that exact moment where disorientation yields to insight, and the spirit’s actualizing tendency pulls the observer toward the radiant joy of becoming.
