This is one day (specifically, 2-26-21) from a large-scale installation of embroidered rolls of paper towels, depicting Daily/Weekly California COVID-19 Deaths. Each stitched knot represents one person who died from COVID-19 in California. Each paper towel sheet is one day. Each roll of paper towels is one week. There is a tag in the lower right hand corner of each paper towel sheet with a date and the number of people who died from COVID-19 in California on that date. 2021 through Spring 2022 has been stitched; 2020 is currently in production.
