“Existential Vertigo”
60″ x 48″ x 1 1/2″
Acrylic on hand-stretched canvas
I have long been fueled by live music—a gathering of connected souls dancing, singing, and sweating to the same beat. Part of that experience is often coupled with visuals of electric lights panning out over the crowd or lighting up a soloing musician. It’s a cathartic shared experience that can never be recreated quite the same. I’ve tried to capture those light rays, how they wash over you and take you to a higher place, a place where your soul beats on the same connected line as everyone else. In rhythm, in harmony, in balance.
