Dynamic Energy

is a study in the eccentric wefts. In it the wefts are no longer perpendicular to the warps and thus there is a lot of surface movement in the piece. It also explains the scalloped edges which are reacting to the different tension in this weaving. By using black, grey and white against the deep red background, the movement is very apparent and contributes to the dynamic flow of this tapestry.
