Paintings created outside on Mt Tiburon under native trees and rain to consider the cycles and inter-relationship of the elements around us and in us as nature. Coming out of a time of internal and external fires to find healing in the movement of gravity, wind and water inside us and around us; to find meaning in relationship with each and the earth.
The past few years have been framed by environmental disruption– floods, fires, smoke, and virus. We’re now navigating a new way to move through the world. When I paint outdoors, this inter-relationship with the elements participates in the creation of the compositions.
