I carry my camera everywhere, documenting and finding inspiration in the most unexpected places. My images range from nature, people, places and the abstract. My drawings are mostly abstract figures and shapes using ink and color pencils.
I have been drawing most of my life and photographing since I was an early teenager. I spent my early childhood with an indigenous community in the Mexican Sierras and my school years in the vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico. I received my first camera as a hand-me-down from my father, a Nikkormat, and I have been hooked ever since. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a visual focus from San Francisco State University. I have taken root in Novato, discovering all that beautiful Marin County and Northern California have to offer and inspire.
