Witnessing nature assuages the anxieties of urban existence. Nature places us in a higher state of awareness that enriches the soul by captivating the eye. It is an experience that words cannot adequately express. I use a camera to capture the beauty, serenity, and magic that I find. My photographs are moments in nature I found inspiring. Each of them is intended to show the beauty and our connection to our living planet. My computer is an extension of my camera that allows me to adjust my images by combining the real and ideal in the spirit of the image so they uniquely express my vision. Hopefully, my images will speak to you as they have spoken to me.

I have had a life long interest in art and photography. It started at the age of 8 when I received my first camera. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, I studied art history and aesthetic theory. During the past 15 years I have honed my photographic skills as a commercial photographer. I began my fine art photography about 6 years ago by entering competitions:

2016: Special Award: Best Wildlife – Marin County Fair
2015: Marin Photographer of the Year – Marin County Fair
2nd Place – Marin County Fair
Finalist – Marin Magazine Cover Competition
2014: Finalist – Triton Museum Salon Exhibition
2013: 1st Place – Napa County Fair
Finalist – Triton Museum Photography Competition
2012: Best of Show – Marin County Fair
2011: 2nd Place – Napa County Fair
Finalist – Triton Museum Photography Competition
2010: Best of Show – Marin County Fair
2nd Place – Marin County Fair
Finalist – Pacific Art League Art Competition
My photography has also been featured in the Marin IJ and Marin Magazine.
