My images are digitally crafted from an archive of photographs collected over many years. They are narratives that are filled with whimsy, irony, and ambiguity. The body of work that I will be showing at the MSA gallery, "Squatters", is made up of images of wild animals situated in domestic environments. They intend to delight the viewer with zany observations of the human experience. Accompanied by interpretive titles, they invite a close examination of subtle details and reward the viewer with a sense of the familiar as well as the absurd.
I am a portrait photographer turned digital image maker. I am prone to the surreal and value the narrative. Words are important to the appreciation of my images. I aim to amuse and delight.
