When I observe my models or clients & their persona, it initiates an intuitive response that compels me to capture them on canvas. I am seeing a soft golden hue against a face, an expression of emotional involvement, and a symphony of dark and light shapes cascading down the face and body.
Kathleen Lack, an award winning artist & teacher, works in oils and pastels, specializing in the portrait & the figure. Her work includes paintings of "The Ballet"; a Western theme entitled "Boots, Hats, & Horses"; "Musicians"; "Figuratives"; "View From the Top"; "Parasols"; Landscapes and a collection of over 100 12" x 16" paintings capturing intuitively the models persona.
