DIVERSITY PROGRAM
Marin Open Studios Diversity and Emerging Artists Program
Tools for Cross Cultural Understanding
Marin Open Studios (MOS) continues its longtime, ongoing commitment to inclusion, equity, and diversity through our deep partnership with Canal Alliance and Marin City Artists.
MOS Supports the MC Arts Gallery in Marin City with supplies, and gives scholarships to gallery artists who are members of MC Arts, a vibrant collective group formed by Director Oshalla Diana Marcus.

MOS Gives annual scholarships and creates videos to artists of the Canal Alliance to support their visibility. Has sponsored and collaborated with local immigrant artists and Storek Architecture to create a permanent mural, You Are Home, Sientas En Casa, in the lobby of Canal Alliance, 91 Larkspur, San Rafael, in 2019. They continue to be supported.
MOS Joins a coalition of local art organizations to support the Canal Alliance Initiative, which is a countywide plan to install public art and exhibit artists throughout the Canal district that reflects the area’s population.
Please Donate to our Diversity Program to help these artists market in 2024!
