About The Artist

Artist Statement

As a photographer specializing in fine art, my current work centers on abstract light painting, where I use light as both medium and brushstroke. By manipulating light in various environments, I create compositions that blend movement, shadow, color and energy to evoke emotion and challenge perception.

My light paintings capture the fleeting, ephemeral nature of time and space, turning the intangible into something tangible. Each piece is an exploration of light’s fluidity and its power to transform, inviting viewers to see beyond the literal and engage with the abstract. In this way, I aim to reveal the unseen forces that shape our world, offering a new perspective on what photography can be—more than a record, but a medium for emotional and visual exploration.

Biography

I’ve been passionate about photography since childhood, when I first encountered Life, Ebony, and Jet magazines while lying on my parent’s living room floor in Washington, DC. Photography has been a constant thread in my life ever since. In my early twenties, I moved to San Francisco with the goal of capturing the natural beauty of California through my lens. Over the years, I’ve photographed, published, and exhibited a diverse range of subjects, including botanicals, historical figures, architectural icons, motor racing, and abstracts. Each phase of my work reflects my ongoing exploration of the world and my pursuit of artistic expression.
